The Solitary Cello


This short piece is based on a quotation from Dombey and Son, written by Charles Dickens in 1846. The passage concerns a confirmed bachelor who, at the end of the day, finds the most sublime company in his cello.

Six Preludes for Piano




I wrote these solo piano pieces between December 30, 2000 and January 1, 2001, making them some of the last pieces of 20th-century music as well as the first pieces of 21st-century music.
