This is the Spring segment of the seasonal collection of violin duets I'm writing for Marjorie Kransberg-Talvi and Ilkka Talvi. This Spring was severely compromised by the hatching of 13-year periodic cicadas, so they have the last word in "Magicicada Brood XIX."

This is a setting of a letter written by Sigmund Freud on January 9, 1921. I wrote it for Seymour Barab to celebrate his 90th birthday (it was written on the day he was born).
